Mrs. Alexis Rainey

Mrs. Alexis Rainey is a native of ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Hill, SC and a product of ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Hill Schools. After graduating from Northwestern High School, she attended South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC where she received a B.A degree in English. She started her career in education as an English Language Arts teacher with Chester County Schools and later taught in Charlotte Mecklenburg schools teaching 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts. Mrs. Rainey transitioned to ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Hill Schools in 2014 where she taught middle grades English Language Arts, served as former Department Chair, professional learning community and team leader, as well as member of the school’s literacy team. Currently, she serves as an ambassador for ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Hill Schools Education Foundation which sponsors innovative teacher grants and back the pack. Mrs. Rainey has obtained Masters Degrees from University of Phoenix and the University of South Carolina with emphasis in Teaching and Curriculum Studies. She holds a Gifted and Talented endorsement through a joint collaboration with Winthrop University and ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Hill Schools, Read to Succeed Teacher Endorsement through Clemson University and the South Carolina State Department of Education, and certifications in ESOL and literacy.

Mrs. Rainey is married with three children and enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading for pleasure and acquiring new knowledge, working with her church youth group, and shopping! Mrs. Rainey believes in a growth mindset and is excited to work in her role as Instructional Coach with administrators, teachers, and students for the upcoming school year. She is confident that, “While we may be individually strong we are collectively powerful”
